  • Open Rate: Should really be called View Rate, meaning the email was highlighted and showed your company name and subject line, and indicates if the email is worthy of attention. Performance: Below 20% = poor / Above 25–35% = solid local dealer engagement
  • Click-Through Rate (CTR): They clicked on the email and shows whether the content inside the email is interesting enough to take action. Performance: 2–5% = strong for service-based AV businesses / 1% or less = content is too generic or salesy
  • Conversion Rate: Is the newsletter producing business opportunities, i.e. a phone call or click through to our website. Performance: 1–3% of clicks converting is strong for high-ticket AV & Security
  • Bounces & Unsubscribes: Watch for unsubscribes and bounces (bad email addresses) Unsubscribes: 0.5% per send / rising unsubscribes = too many sends or irrelevant content
